Shutterfly.com - Service at it's best!I have been a photographer for over 35 years. In the past, I shot 35mm film and developed my photos in my own darkroom. In recent years, I have totally embraced digital photography. I have an excellent Sony DSC-F828 8 mega pixel digital camera and I can produce very good prints up to 8x10" on my HP 9700 photo printer. Occasionally, I do need to produce larger prints or specialty photo items such as calendars or photo mugs. I recently discovered ShutterFly www.shutterfly.com. This is a online photo processing lab. You upload your digital photos and order the prints or specialty items at very reasonable prices. I had one of my favorite photos enlarged to a 11x14 print. The service was fast and the print arrived carefully packaged. The print quality is outstanding. It was printed on archival professional Fuji photographic paper with a matte finish as I requested. The colors are rich and beautiful. The sharpness and print quality is outstanding. The print was carefully packed in a sturdy mailing tube and protected with heavy cardboard and a sheet of foam. I was so impressed with ShutterFly's work that I decided to have them make some calendars using some of my photos. On December 22, at 11:00 AM, I sent the order to ShutterFly online. I thought it would have been nice to have the calendars to give to friends on Christmas but I knew I was much too late to get them done in time. To my amazement, I received a email from ShutterFly at 7:44 PM THE SAME DAY stating that my order of 12 calendars was complete and being shipped. Even though I had not requested any rush processing or shipping, the calendars arrived via US Postal Service Priority mail on December 24. The calendars are beautiful. The quality is superb. And the service was unbelievable! 1 1/2 days to process and DELIVER my order on Christmas Eve! Now THAT'S service! My hat is off to you ShutterFly. You have certainly earned my respect and my business. I always believe in giving credit where credit is due so here it is.
