Below are listings of all Gil Hibben production knives that I know of. It should be noted that many knives were produced in various editions and versions. For example: the UC-441 Silver Shadow was also available as UC-441B Silver Shadow Black and UC-441 Dark Shadow. Many of the Fantasy knives were produced in limited "Signature" or "First Production Run (FPR)" and "Gold" editions in addition to the basic regular edition. Variations of the Fantasy knives are listed in the table below. Limited edition knives are usually produced in quantities of 2000-7500. However, occasionally a short run of just a few hundred knives will be specially produced. The "Value (Ebay)" column is the approximate current value for a new or mint condition knife based on sales that I have seen on Ebay or dealers. The value is for reference only, this IS NOT a listing of knives for sale. I have seen some "seconds" (knives with various manufacturing flaws) available for sale but I have not listed them here and generally their value is very low. Value sometimes has a pretty wide range depending on rarity and/or condition. Of course, lower serial numbers are always more valuable. It should also be noted that over the years United Cutlery has released or reissued several versions of the same knife. This was especially true from 1990-1995 when they had their own in-house etching department. I have identified at least 9 different versions of the Highlander Bowie and at least 4 different runs of the Warbirds. Some were also produced with special etchings such as "Edge" and "Hofritz". See also: Hibben Throwers for Gil's line of Throwing Knives, Hibben Fantasy for a list of the Fantasy Series, and Hibben Customs for a sampling of his custom hand made knives. Update 2007: United Cutlery went into bankruptcy and closed down in November 2006. In early 2007 Clint Kadel, owner of Bud-K, purchased United Cutlery's assets, including designs and trademarks and is operating United Cutlery from new headquarters in Georgia, USA as a completely separate company from Bud-K. They have renewed their licenses with Gil Hibben to continue producing his line of production knives.
